Avril De Silva
Associate Lawyer
Avril joined Ellahi Law in the Summer of 2023 as an Articled Student and was called to the bar in June of 2024. She continues to work at the firm as an Associate Lawyer.
During her time in Law school, Avril has worked as a student researcher focusing on domestic violence cases. During her Masters, her focus was on International Human Rights Law, where she worked as a Student Researcher at the Death Penalty Sentencing Mitigation Unit at the Human Rights Centre Clinic. She worked in conjunction with Reprieve to assist on death penalty cases in Pakistan and the United States.
Avril speaks fluently in both English and Sinhalese. Outside of work, she loves traveling, is a big foodie, and spending time with family and friends.
